‘Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad’ Takes a unique approach to atmospheric lighting and takes it a step further by achieving it in paper collage. Each piece of paper is individually painted with gouache. This illustration was the winner of the Chiu-Yueh Lai Scholarship Award (2025) and was featured in both the Society of Illustrators Student Scholarship Exhibit (2025) and Iowa State Fair Fine Arts Show where it was awarded 3rd place in Mixed Media (2025).
