These two hypothetical book cover redesigns were done as an exploration to push the limits of paper collage and experiment with it in a more design-oriented space.

The first is for the cover of Mary Shelley’s “Frankenstein.” This interior illustration and book cover design puts a darker twist on the usual whimsical paper-cut aesthetic, as well as incorporating paper-cut and digital type pairing.

The second cover redesign is for “The Secret Life of Bees,” written by Sue Monk Kidd. This Jacket was assembled from individual assets that were scanned in separately, making the design more flexible and responsive to edits.
